IRVINE, Calif. — New research from the Kelley Blue Book Market Intelligence Group revealed today that more vehicle buyers are apparently turning to used units, as well as tending to pay in cash rather than financing their purchases.
The study findings showed some startling vehicle buyer sentiment about potential purchasing and financing plans.

  • Jim – I posted information regarding the Negative Equity in Ohio Motor Vehicle Transactions on the OIADA Dealer Compliance Group in Auttr. I will articulate further on this matter within the Group.

  • LJ,

I have had a few dealers call and tell me that the Retail Purchase Agreement we use is not compliant because Reynolds & Reynolds came out with a new form that is longer and has verbiage on it regarding a new law that went into effect this year regarding financing and negative equity. It was said that you are no longer to tax the negative equity and you must list the negative equity separately and not include it in the sale price.

    Can you comment on this?

    LJ,

I recently had one of our members submit this question to me and as always I would you to please answer this yesterday so that I can get back to them. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I have an hourly Service Advisor and I think they are exempt from overtime
pay in the State of Ohio because they are considered salespeople.

  • LJ,

Thank you for taking the time to come to the 2K10 Compliance Seminar yesterday at CFAA. I kn ow that you are very busy working with new clients and I also know that it was a long day for you but I appreciate you taking the time to not only attend but to meet with some of the members before, during and after the event to consult with them. Once again thank you very much for your dedication.
