T.A.R.P. Orlando – A Special Thanks!

Let me say thank you to all of the people responsible for a great NIADA Program in Orlando, Florida on Friday, January 15th. Keith Whann’s, “The Car Counselor’s T.A.R.P. Program” was attended by about 300 at Manheim’s Central Florida Auto Auction.

First, let me thank the folks from Manheim Central Florida: Butch Herdegen, General Manager, Toni Williams, Marketing Manager, and Tara Lorenzetti, Customer Experience. Thanks for not only lending your beautiful facility and for providing a wonderful lunch, but for the additional efforts in transforming your facility into a professional quality presentation and conference center.

Next, thanks to the folks from Manheim’s Corporate Office: David Bercik, Lynn Morgan, Julie Murphree, and Josie Donehoo. Thanks for approving the budgets necessary to produce a high-quality event and thanks for the efforts in planning and organizing.

Thanks to the folks at AutoTrader.com. Thanks to Allyson Estes for organizing your team to help reach out to hundreds of Floirda auto dealers, bringing additional awareness to the event. Howard Polirer, thank you for your very professional, entertaining, informative, and unbiased presentation of Online Advertising Best Practices.

I want to thank the staff at NIADA for making these Regional Seminar Series available. Georgia Brown (Education Director), thank you for your efforts in bringing lenders to meet with dealers. Mike Linn (CEO), thank you for your leadership and your personal participation in this event. It is wonderful to have the CEO (of the only national association representing the interests of independent auto dealers) participate in these events.

Finally, I want to give a big thanks to Keith and Regina Whann for all of their efforts in putting this program together. Thanks for volunteering your time and resources to make this program successful. Thanks for writing the power-point presentations and updating them as we move from venue to venue (you are always “tweaking” to make things a little better). And as always, thanks for the entertaining, informative, colorful, and always brutally honest presentations.

I appreciate all of your time and efforts. Thanks for making this a very successful program!

I’ll see you all in Dallas on March 12, 2010 (www.whanntarp.com)
